This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game RUNEGUN ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. RUNEGUN is a single-player arena game. We do not operate any servers of our own and we do not receive your personal data ourselves. However, the App includes two Google services — Google AdMob (advertising) and Google Play Games Services (leaderboards and achievements) — and those services do collect and transmit data, as described below.
| What | Who receives it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID, IP address, device and OS information, ad interaction data | Google (AdMob) and its advertising partners | To show and measure ads |
| Play Games player ID, display name, scores, achievement unlocks | Google (Play Games Services) — only if you sign in | Leaderboards and achievements |
| Game progress and settings | No one — stays on your device | To save your game |
The App shows ads supplied by Google AdMob: a full-screen ad after some runs end, and an optional "watch an ad to continue" ad that you choose to start. To serve and measure those ads, Google collects information from your device, which may include:
AD_ID permission for this);ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID,
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS and
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION).This data is collected by Google, not by us — we never see it. Google may use it to personalise ads and to measure ad performance, and may share it with its advertising partners. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms and the AdMob policies.
The App offers online leaderboards and an achievement through Google Play Games Services. This is optional: if you decline the Play Games sign-in, or your device has no Play Games support, the online features are simply switched off and nothing is transmitted. Your personal best records are kept on your device either way.
If you are signed in, the App sends the following to Google:
Please note that leaderboards are public. If you submit a score, your Play Games display name and that score can be seen by other players viewing the leaderboard, both inside the App and in the Play Games app. Your Play Games display name is controlled by you in your Google account settings, not by us.
Play Games Services data is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
The App saves your game progress — your souls balance, unlocked characters, skins and pets, your bestiary and rune glossary, your personal best records, and settings such as volume and control layout — locally on your device using the WebView's local storage. This information:
Note that clearing the App's data permanently erases your progress, because we hold no copy of it.
The App does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files. Its release build declares:
INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to load ads
and reach Play Games Services;AD_ID and the Privacy Sandbox advertising permissions — used
by Google's ads SDK, as described above;VIBRATE — for the haptic pulses on combat hits, which you can
turn off in the App's settings. This collects no data.RUNEGUN is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App serves ads through Google AdMob and those ads involve the collection of an advertising identifier, the App is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at the address below.
We retain no data ourselves, because we receive none. Data collected by Google through AdMob and Play Games Services is retained by Google according to its own policies, linked above.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "Last updated" date.
